I grew up Catholic, went through confirmation, and later stopped believing. I don’t call myself an atheist, because rejecting something I don’t fully understand feels arrogant. I don’t call myself a believer, because holding on to something that leaves this many questions open feels just as arrogant. These are the questions. If you can answer one, I want to hear it.
The target is specific. Almost every argument here is aimed at the tri-omni God of mainstream Christianity. If an argument works, it rules out that God, not every conceivable one.
Every argument is laid out the same way: in plain English, then the actual steps, then what you would have to deny to reject it, then the best replies believers have given.
Respond to a specific argument. Each has a thread underneath. Pick a stance: Objection a premise is false or the logic fails · Support it’s stronger than stated · Question something is unclear · Steelman a better version of the other side.
